The Sunday school classes participate in several service projects with the Orwigsburg food pantry throughout the year. We make snack bags, Easter baskets, collect gently-used children’s books, and sponsor an Angel Tree every December.
The confirmation class holds a Youth Sunday program every year in late winter. A skit is performed and youth serve as ushers, lectors, and greeters. This day is always educational and entertaining!
We have an active Youth Gathering group that aims to take eligible teens to the national conference, which is held every 3 years. The last group spent 4 days in Houston doing community service projects, attending bible studies and worship, participating in experiential learning projects and exploring the host city. The next Youth Gathering will be held in Minneapolis, MN in 2021. For more information on the Youth Gathering click here.
