A PASTORAL MESSAGE
As we begin the month of April, we stand at thevery heart of our Lenten journey. I encourage you to join us for our Holy Week services—Maundy Thursday and Good Friday—and to take time for quiet reflection on Holy Saturday.
Then, with the church here and throughout the world, come and rejoice with us in the good news of Easter morning.
The worship of Holy Week draws us into the saving work of Christ. These services prepare our hearts for the Easter “Alleluias” by placing us within the story of our Lord’s Passion.
Though Scripture does not name us directly, we are very much part of this story: Jesus suffered and died not for his own sins, but for ours. And he rose again so that we might share in his abundant life now and experience it perfectly and completely in the world to come.
The journey from the table in the upper room, to the bloodied cross, to the dark and empty tomb, and to the miracle which follows is Christ’s story for our sake—and through God’s gift of grace, it becomes our story as well.
My prayer is that you and your family will be strengthened and renewed as together we walk with our Lord through pain and death toward the brightness of resurrection life and eternal joy.
May God bless you abundantly!
Happy Easter!
Pastor Mike, Sue, and Mikey
